Novel study

For the whole term we are learning about novel, Asking question's about character's.We also are looking deeper into the character to see how they develop and impact the story. I know that there is a main character and the rest of the characters are called miner characters. I know the in a novel there is a problem and a solution to the problem. I know that good readers find out the answer even if it not in the book. If you know everything about novel, questioning and characters please tell me in the comments.

 for the past week we have been doing complex sentences.It was a challenge set by the teacher.

Convincing writing

This week we have been writing a convincing story about what you want more or less of. I found it hard to come up with reasons and ideas.  I found it easy to write my ideas down. I did my one on 10 more minutes sleep in here is my story.

We have looked at a picture and thought critically about it. we used lots of reflective question to think about the picture.Also we have been using adjective.

I found this challenging because  It was hard to think what he mite have done because there are many options .

I feel emotional and I am speechless I am very confused and I feel awkward.

I hear excitement and chatter it is very calm and music for the bell.

I see many excited people running all around and teachers have no frowns. It is very fun because there are some new playground and there is a scooter track where everyone goes around.

Last Day of the tour around new Zealand

This day for the tour we start of at activity 1
Activity 1: We need to say three things that we would do to help nature Here are my thing that I will do to help nature
1. We can get people not leave without putting rubbish in the bin or taking it home.
2. We can stop and give them a warning.
3. Have signs about taking your rubbish home with you.

bonus activity: Since this is the last time we are on the great adventure I have to revue what I think So I think that it has been really fun and all of the days have been a new adventure.  I  will miss this and out of all the things I like the most was this one.

For the first activity we had to talk about beach wales which is very sad.When we woke up I sore something I would never see before it was a amazing site but all so very sad so I called and woke every one up and so we all ran out started to run water down one wales beck and I said 1 wale a person then some of them died and the other ones got safely back to the sea were they belong.
So sorry we could not do the 2 activity because the video was not working.☹
Bounce activity:We have to deiced if we wont the fisherman fishing in the bay or we have to write a argument.My argent is that people should not fish in the bay other wise they will kill the Hector’s dolphins they kill 110 to 150 a year.

Day 2 Exploring New Zealand.

activity 1: I like the big tree in the Waipoua forest because it is very amazing and it is amazing that the tree didn't fall down and that the Maori  didn't use it for wood.
activity 2 :  If I was to interview her I would ask, would you live in some of the islands you went to.?were you scared and lonely? do you eat weird food? do you drink weird drink? did you miss New Zealand?
Bonus : Devon's list of outside activities 1. netball, 2. jet-skiing 3. swimming with sharks, 4. swim with the dolphins, 5. go on a big flying fox. Devon may not of actually done these but she wants to.

3 fact about NZ

This week for Literacy we are having  a competition on activity and I will be posting them on  my blog every day for 7 days and only on school days. here are 3 interesting facts about New Zealand.
1. 4.4 people in new Zealand are not new Zealander/kiwis.69% are of European descent and 14.6% are indigenous Maori, 9.2% Asian and 6.9% non Maori. 
2. new Zealander wort in new Zealand  first it was Moira and they settled with a  treaty waitangi  so they did not fight.
3.kiwis love the outdoors and so do the other people so other people come to new Zealand because we have very beautiful out doors. 
And for the bonus point we had to make a flag  and here is my flag.

This week we have been learning how to write a complex sentence.  First we looked at a picture then we made two simple sentences and put them together with a conjunction.


As I was summoning the Grim Reaper I was thinking of not summoning him although it turned out he was already there.

Bliss balls

As a literacy class we made bliss balls.  This was part of our healthy eating.

  Steps how to make a bliss ball

1. Wash hand so we don't get germs in the food.  
2. Stand round the table and start making the food.
3. We had to put the ingredients in a food chopper so we can make the balls.
4. Then we had to roll the ball and then we had to put it in a flavour.
5. Then we could eat them, I ate mine and so did the other people.

The ingredients: 1 cup of sultanas or raisins

½ cup oat

2 tablespoons of cocoa

½cup desiccated coconut

2 tablespoons of coconut oil

weather information report

For the past 2 weeks we have been learning about weather our W.A.L.T is to write an infomration report with the correct structure and language features.
I began with a general statementing , then I wrote my description and finished with my evaluation.

Severe Weather

Devastation outside my window everything is now completely still.

Severe weather poses a risk to life, buildings and nature.

Tornadoes: are like a funnel, tornadoes are only tornadoes if they touch the ground. Some tornadoes come half way down then go back up.  Tornadoes are caused by upwards and downward wind drafts.

Droughts: A drought is caused by there being no rain for a substantial period of time.  

are a pain for farmers, they need water for their animals and crops. Some time the farmer have to leave their farm with their animals.    

Blizzards: are a severe snowstorm with high winds, people should stay inside and animals will try and find cover together. Blizzards are caused by cold air and hot air coming together caused by the equator and the poles.

Hurricanes: is a storm with a violent wind. Water fuels hurricane.

Floods:  Floods are caused by heavy rainfall.overflow rivers, gutter and drains.  People littering and leaves falling can block drains and makes the water have nowhere to soak in. Land only needs a certain amount of water when it gets too much it gathers on top after it makes mud.

I like a tornado spins but I wouldn’t want to be inside one.
