Tilted towers

This week we have been writing a story about a photo.we had to describe the photo.

I found challenging that to get really good description words.

Novel study

For the whole term we are learning about novel, Asking question's about character's.We also are looking deeper into the character to see how they develop and impact the story. I know that there is a main character and the rest of the characters are called miner characters. I know the in a novel there is a problem and a solution to the problem. I know that good readers find out the answer even if it not in the book. If you know everything about novel, questioning and characters please tell me in the comments.

Anzac day

For Anzac day we have  pick a special item and done some research.

Cats who needs? them?

This morning we have been reading an article about if  we should kill all cats.  I think that cats are very nice animals  because they snuggle with you and love you. Let me know what you think in the comments.

Convincing writing

This week we have been writing a convincing story about what you want more or less of. I found it hard to come up with reasons and ideas.  I found it easy to write my ideas down. I did my one on 10 more minutes sleep in here is my story.

We have looked at a picture and thought critically about it. we used lots of reflective question to think about the picture.Also we have been using adjective.

I found this challenging because  It was hard to think what he mite have done because there are many options .

complex senticents

This week we have been learning how to write a complex sentence.  First we looked at a picture then we made two simple sentences and put them together with a conjunction.


As I was summoning the Grim Reaper I was thinking of not summoning him although it turned out he was already there.

This week we have been working on a story it was very hard to think what the man was doing and we based the story on him. Here is my story.

I was grabbing money money for the bank from up in the sky tower that was being built.The cops said get down from there or we will have to fire the missiles so I said “NOOOOOO”.

“FIRE!!!” I shouted that 90% of missiles don't reach their target.The missiles hit the platform I am standing on. The plate form is going to fall so I call for backup so I rushed up a bunch of steps. I got up just in time I throw a smoke bomb and jump off the building and I got in the helicopter and started shooting.I told the pilot to go to my secret hideout and robbed a heap more banks.

weather information report

For the past 2 weeks we have been learning about weather our W.A.L.T is to write an infomration report with the correct structure and language features.
I began with a general statementing , then I wrote my description and finished with my evaluation.

Severe Weather

Devastation outside my window everything is now completely still.

Severe weather poses a risk to life, buildings and nature.

Tornadoes: are like a funnel, tornadoes are only tornadoes if they touch the ground. Some tornadoes come half way down then go back up.  Tornadoes are caused by upwards and downward wind drafts.

Droughts: A drought is caused by there being no rain for a substantial period of time.  

are a pain for farmers, they need water for their animals and crops. Some time the farmer have to leave their farm with their animals.    

Blizzards: are a severe snowstorm with high winds, people should stay inside and animals will try and find cover together. Blizzards are caused by cold air and hot air coming together caused by the equator and the poles.

Hurricanes: is a storm with a violent wind. Water fuels hurricane.

Floods:  Floods are caused by heavy rainfall.overflow rivers, gutter and drains.  People littering and leaves falling can block drains and makes the water have nowhere to soak in. Land only needs a certain amount of water when it gets too much it gathers on top after it makes mud.

I like a tornado spins but I wouldn’t want to be inside one.
