Summer Learning Journey Week 4 Day 1
Activity 1
World of Wearable (WOW) Art
My 5 questions for Dame Suzie Moncrieff about Wearable Arts.
1. How did you come up with the idea to make things you can wear from recycling?
2. What do you look for in the winning design?
3. How do you feel about the fact your idea is now a world wide event?
4. Children from my school made wearable art projects, what advise would you give them?
5. Would you come and judge our schools wearable art designs?
Activity 2
Guardians of the Sea
I believe in Taniwha's. They protect a spiritual belief that many people have. They can protect and help remind people to protect our environment. They can hide in nature disguised as something that would usually be there and only show themselves when there is a need.
Activity 3
The Sky in Shanghai
Here is a Haiku poem that describes how I feel about travelling to Beijing China
Travelling to Beijing
Awful, Deadly, Terrible
Needs to be fixed NOW
MÅrena Hunter!
ReplyDeleteYou've come up with some really thoughtful questions for Dame Suzie Moncrieff. I would be particularly interested in the answer to question number two. Have you been to a wearable arts show before? When I live in Wellington I went to WOW and it was amazing! I definitely recommend going, if you haven't already. Were you one of the students at your school who did the wearable art project?
You've made some really great points to justify your opinion on taniwha. I think the idea that they can shapeshift makes their existence all the more plausible. I like that you've considered the spiritual side of the argument as well.
Wow, you're the first blogger I've come across to do a haiku - another original post! Well done Hunter. :)
I think you're right - the pollution problem in Beijing really does need to be addressed. What do you think they could do to combat it?
Well done on completing another post Hunter. You're well on your way to finishing the whole programme. :)
Blog ya later!

Hi Mickey thanks for your nice comments.
ReplyDeleteNo i have not be to a wearable arts show but it would be interesting seeing all they different creations people come up with.
I was not apart of the one at my school but the juniors looked like they had lots of great fun.
I think they could have more electric vehicles because they are less harm full on the environment.
